Twenty & Six Espresso

What: Twenty & Six Espresso
Where: 594 Queensberry Street, North Melbourne, VIC

Another breakfast place in the north, they just seem to be popping up everywhere. Good coffee and an inventive menu seem to be the hallmarks of North Melbourne, and this place definitely delivers.

Quirky décor, inventive menu, nice wait staff, and conveniently located. Well worth the wait which we experienced on the weekend when we had brunch.

 Our Brunch:

  • The Hunter – balsamic and port roasted Portobello mushrooms, spicy Spanish chorizo on sourdough, finished with crème fraiche and black truffle oil (plus you can add a poached egg too).
  • Classic Eggs Soldiers (plus we added a bacon floret – amazing)

Review

Creative and delicious – and who doesn’t love a place that serves volcanic black salt and remains childish and fun (i.e. sitting on old school chairs).

Definitely worth the wait – leave your number if they are busy and go for a walk, or enjoy a take-away coffee outside from them while you wait.
